    Eye injuries from flintlock?

I shoot with trifocal safety glasses and do not have a problem seeing my sight with them. I wear them all day every day as matter of practicality. I shoot strictly flintlock and have only had one time that a gust of wind blew the pan flash under my glasses. Have been very careful when shooting...

    Fusil De Chasse Style Rifle

Shooting my FDC smoothbore has been my shooting fun for six years. Three years in I decided I wanted a rifle and figured it should have the same form as my smoothbore to make it easy use both. On my long guns that had the solid plug I drilled the vent where it needed to go slightly deeper marking the plug where it needed to be ground. I used my Dremel with a grinding bit on the plug after I got it out of the barrel.

On my 1733 French pistol I do have a recessed breech plug that I drilled through then removed the breech plug and notched it to allow good access to the main charge. It really made for quick ignition.

Military Heritage India-made Fusil de Chasse

Use of any firearm carries the risk of bodily harm. Recent modern firearm recalls seem to bear this out. My Indian guns have functioned as well as any firearm of the period in history they descend from and are made of better metal. They fill a niche market spot that lets me afford to have...

Military Heritage India-made Fusil de Chasse
