Nickel Engraved 1860 Army by ASM

I believe Hoppes #9 will damage nickel. That's the finest looking engraved repo Army I've seen, far better than my Euroarms.

    India Barrel Failure

It's kind of like buying a Chevy Vega and expecting Volvo quality and durability.

Hopkins & Allen Underhammer Boot Pistol

Yours must have a 2 piece trigger or hammer pivot pin. The only ones I've seen are one piece with the screw threads just under the screw head on the right side. The part showing on the left is the end of the pin (no threads this end) which is a close fit in the left side of the frame.

90 grains of 2 or 3 f is a good load for a golf ball mortar.

    Nickel silver

German silver all the way through, they are not plated so you can cut or grind them with no problems.

Hopkins & Allen Underhammer Boot Pistol

They are screws and from your description they are stripped and the frame may be as well. Contact the seller and tell him about the issue, it should have been disclosed.

    Bedding three band rifle

The breech should be firmly bedded and the tang screw snug. The barrel will expand faster than the stock so it has to be able to move independently or the zero will change. I have a nice 2 band that was full length bedded when I got it and the rear band is so tight it has to be tapped into...

    Bedding three band rifle

Both actually. Leaving the middle or bottom (2 band) band loose is to allow for barrel and stock movement. Much like slotting the underlugs on a pinned full stock rifle. The band doesn't have to be sloppy loose but should not be forced in place either. You can either sand a little off the...

    Bedding three band rifle

Sam is right about the breech area, no more than 8". I usually do about 6". If there is old bedding in that area it's better to scrape it out and apply fresh rather than have it build up. Most (N-SSA) shooters don't bed full length. The middle band or the rear band on a 2 band gun should be...

    Please help identify this cannon

I'm afraid it looks more like a boat anchor than a cannon to me. It's downright Aztek ugly.

    Please help identify this cannon

The cascable is a 2 piece trailer ball. Are you old enough to remember them?

    Armi San Paolo parts

Armi San Palo became Euroarms and as far as I know there were no changes to the guns, only the name. There are virtually no parts available for the ASP so any will need fitting to suit. To be quite honest (I'm sure you don't want to hear this) I recommend you drop this project before you spend...

    Spiller and Burr

It goes in just like a Remington. Roll it clockwise looking from the rear as you insert it into the frame. That pushes the hand up out of the way.

    Burned!

By now I believe everyone knows who it is and his username has been posted here by another. Yes it is Blackpowderwarrior and I have just now posted negative feedback on his profile. I have also sent him a PM with a link to this thread in case he hasn't seen it yet and also informed him I have...

    Burned!

This is my last PM to the seller 5 days after the detailed one I quoted in my first post here. I tried to be respectful and truthful and even offered him an easy out. It's always possible we could have come to some kind of agreement short of a full refund but none was offered. I'm tenacious...

Thoughts on Intercontinental Arms Kentuckian Pistol

A lot of fun to be had there for $125. If there's corrosion on the exterior it can be fixed by browning the barrel and it'll probably look better too. It's Italian and it wouldn't surprise me if current Italian parts could be fitted if necessary. The Navy Arms pistol and the Replica Arms...
