Woodsrunner lock, removing **** from tumbler problem.

I had the same problem. I was afraid of the bigger hammer so I contacted Kibler and they had me send it to them. They got it separated and sent me the parts back. They reported that they did a bit of filing to make sure this didn’t happen again.

    Barrel makers

Some barrel makers have produced close to what you are looking for. I happened on Rice smooth bore that is labeled “Type G” that is very light, very thin walled. I don’t know if this was a special order or if they periodically run them. Good luck with your project!

Been waiting to hear when that trigger would show up. Now that you have a part on hand you might as well plan on building up the whole gun!

Old banding was often a spring steel with enough carbon to harden. Good stuff!

    Installing tips on wooden ramrods...........

A snug fit is good. Glue is better. A pin is best! One tip for a gun mounted rod, two for a range rod or cleaning rod is ok. Of course there are no rules so you can do what you think will work best for you!

    Mule Ear Lock identification

Short term, try a washer under the spring to give the speing a bit more room to work. Actual fix is to heat, bend, normalize and heat treat. I have a pair of mule ear locks, one with a weak spring a washer solved the problem but I am worried that it creates a stress point so I will fix it the...

Cutting stock blanks out of a plank

I have some ash boards air drying and want to do a pistol with it. I also have some maple cut from a really old tree that got damaged in a tornado-ish storm. I am thinking of trying a long gun with it in a few years…. After I retire and have all of my other projects done and should have a Miller...

    Building a Fusil de Chasse

Just add one part onto every order. Also keep looking for parts in the for sale board. I picked up a nice .58 caliber (24 gauge) fowler/trade gun barrel for a future build that way. The lock and barrel are the most expensive parts.
