    Everything .40 Cal. Muzzleloader

I use both 2f and 3f in my 32 and 40 and see no noticable difference in shot placement, performance or shot consistency from one to the other. If I was a better shooter I might notice a difference but my shooting meets my hunting criteria. 😉

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Braided up a strap and threw this meat and potatoes bag together today. No flash or frills just a functional shooting bag.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

I'm going through my crates so as not to forget anything for this upcoming weekends event. Seems I usually forget something. Friday is school day for the kids and hopefully exposure to this event will draw in new reenactors in the future and an interest in history.😁

    New Crocket .32 Squirrel Rifle

The ball starter is easy to make if you're so inclined. I used a dried out mullberry limb out of my brush pile and a 1/4" dowel rod. 30 minute project.

Why no black powder hunting personalities

Well said. Living life vicariously through someone else on TV aint living, life has to be experienced for yourself.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Took my .32 flinter to my range and worked on loads and tweaking sights. I've discovered that after 38 years of burning welding rod that the thing that needs tweaked most are my old eyes😁and that I've got to locate realllllly big squirrels.

    Ya cant be scared !

Being on a fixed income now, getting toys is a big deal but my wife the banker gave me the go ahead to get a rifle kit and thats a big deal for me. Having said that my choice is a Bedford county flintlock in .36 caliber. I've never tackled anything as ornate as one of these with all the brass...

    How do you prime?

I use a priming flask on my small bores .32, .40 and .45 because the smaller locks but my big smoothbores I prime from the main horn.

My poor old used and abused camp stool was in need of a new seat........so it got one. I'm pretty sure years of sweat, spilt beer, tequila and tobacco spit added to the degeneration of the last one but it was cloth, this one is leather. Rendezvous is coming up and this seat will be commissioned...

    Red Hawk Trading Tents

Making sure canvas is dry before storing is a must do to insure the longevity of any canvas. I've got a 40 + year old baker lean-to thats still going strong due to proper care.

I have one of their 12x12 and a 10x10 diamond shelters. High quality, great products. Buying one of their products is money well spent.
