    WITHDRAWN Completed Kibler Woodsrunner, .54

I went with the .54 to get the ultimate lightweight package. It really fits the bill.

    WITHDRAWN Completed Kibler Woodsrunner, .54

Here are a few more pics. I honestly don't know the weight. I can put it on the scale tonight. But it is a very light and handy piece.

    WITHDRAWN Completed Kibler Woodsrunner, .54

I've got the building bug, and I'm selling my first couple completed projects to fund the next. This is a .54 caliber Kibler Woodsrunner with fancy maple. This was my second build and it turned out really well. I'm selling it for the cost of the kit, plus shipping. The brass is aged, the...

    WITHDRAWN Completed Kibler Colonial, .50

I've got the building bug, and I'm selling my first couple completed projects to fund the next. This is a .50 caliber Kibler Colonial with fancy maple. This was my first build and it turned out quite well. I'm selling it for less than the cost of the kit because there are a couple minor rookie...

What kind of stuff do you all read?

I'm a voracious reader. At any given time I have a few books going at once. I like just about everying from history and memoirs to old classics, to fantasy. To give you an idea I currently have open, Flintlock Fowlers by Tom Grinslade Lexington and Concord by George Daughan Treasure Island...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Today I finished my .54 Woodsrunner. The learning experience from the .50 Colonial helped it turn into a much better finished product. I couldn't be happier with it. Here they are together. The Woodsrunner is a dramatically different rifle in hand compared to the Colonial.

I also recently won this old fowler. It had been converted to percussion, and I believe it's been shortened. I plan to re-convert it (cosmetically) back to flintlock and do quite a bit of restoration work to it. I purchased an old Ketland lock from a member of the forum. Received the fowler...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

A few weeks ago, I finished my first kit, this Kibler Colonial. I had blued all of the steel parts, and really wasn't happy. So last weekend I disassembled the rifle, stripped off the bluing, and began slowly browning the steel parts. Just got it all back together tonight, and it turned out...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

While patiently waiting for my Chambers PA Fowler kit to ship, I decided to order a second Kibler, this time going with a fancy maple, .54 caliber Woodsrunner. I got it yesterday and am very impressed with just how much handier it feels compared to the Colonial rifle I just put together. Really...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

It was your build thread that pushed in the direction of the PA Fowler. I had a fowler itch and found your thread; it turned out so well, I was inspired. Good work and thank you. And yes, I'll probably tack some questions onto it in the future.

How many muzzleloaders have you built

I'm pretty new to the muzzle loading world. I built my first kit thinking I wanted a nice long rifle for my collection. But I enjoyed the process so much, I've started my second kit, ordered my third kit, and have an antique fowler in need of restoration on the way. I'd like to get my skills...

Mince meat, fruit cake and figgy pudding

My wife and I have taken up making fruit cakes the last few years. Each year gets better. Honestly don't know if I've ever come across a mince meat or figgy pudding.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Signed up for this forum! And ordered my second kit. This one a Chambers PA Fowler. My first build was a Kibler Colonial, and it turned out great, just wish it took longer, lol. I'm thinking I'm getting what I wished for with the Chambers.

    New guy from Arizona

Hi all, as recommended, I'm starting my introduction. As a five year old kid, when Last of the Mahicans came out, I was instantly, and inexplicably obsessed with everything about the film. It remained my first and foremost obsession until Saving Private Ryan came out. At that point, I became a...
