WANTED James River Armory M1855 Harpers Ferry 2-band Rifle

It's a longshot, but I am looking for one of the James River Armory M1855 Harpers Ferry 2-band rifled muskets. These haven't been made in a while. If you have one you want to sell let me know. Please no offers of other guns. I'm looking for this particular model.

Is it possible to achieve a 100m(109yd) accuracy of 24 MOA with the 1842 Springfield musket without patched ball?

M1842 was a percussion lock. Maybe he was referring to an earlier variant of the M1816 (up to around 1840) which were flintlocks? Anyway, I've got an original M1842. Been shooting it very accurately at 50 yrds using a .678 RB, roughed up, dipped in lube, with 62gr Swiss 2FG. Haven't tried it...

WANTED Looking for a "3 bander"

I've got a restored 1861 Springfield that looks good and shoots well if you are interested. I will sell it for a comparable price to most of the repros.

    1861 Springfield

Brett Gibbons the paper cartridge historian in Gettysburg says that Swiss 1.5FG powder is the closest to the military powder of the 1860s. So a little more than 60 of 2Fg makes sense.

    Burnside Carbine advice needed

I've never been able to find a bullet mold other than RB for my Burnside. But S&S Firearms sells the Burnside bullets. I've bought them a couple of times and they work well.

    Shout Out to Forth Armoury

This will be my first time shooting them. I know all the N-SSA competitors use them roughed up. I think it's kind of the same principle as the dimples on golf balls.

    Shout Out to Forth Armoury

So, I've bought a number of paper cartridges formers from Steve at Forth Armoury in the past. Love his YT videos and products. This past weekend I bought an 1842 Springfield smoothbore at the N-SSA Nationals so I can start shooting it in competition. In anticipation of that purchase I ordered...

Loading up for my 1863 Sharps ‘paper cutter’ percussion

So, OP, how is your Sharps shooting? Any adjustments you've made since your post? Those Hahn tubes look really thick. Do they burn up well? I've been making my own tubes with tracing paper (thin), but plan to switch to regular copy/computer paper for more structural integrity.
