Was it the .36? Buddy sent me one last night and it sold for a little over $2100!!!

    Stock crack in .32

I appreciate all the reply’s! And when I get back home from working out of town I’ll give it a try. I personally don’t think it’s bad only bc of the light loads being shot out of it and the fact it could have been from cleaning it but we don’t know for sure. If the glue doesn’t work then I’ll...

    Stock crack in .32

Im not saying your wrong not at all so please don’t take it that why but what I can’t understand is I’m only using 20 grains of 3f there is very little recoil. The wrist of the gun has more wood then most of my smokeless guns that kick a lot more.. if it is the breech how do I go about...

    Stock crack in .32

I did just that and now the screw goes in much easier, it might have created just enough pressure to cause it

    WITHDRAWN CVA 45 cal (withdrawn)

I think it is a Kentucky and to be honest a very nice one at that! Those guns are Notorious for just being plain old ugly hahaha and I love CVA! But this one was done very well, Would be a nice gun to start out or a gift for someone starting out

    Stock crack in .32

So I might have found the issue, my tang screw was tight against the wood, I’m wondering if that is what caused the pressure after firing to cause the small crack? I removed some wood and now the screw doesn’t come in contact with the wood

    Cap and ball revolver question

I saw that and it’s a beautiful but you are right about the price, not that it’s not worth it bc I believe it is it’s just do I want to spend that much on a .32

    Stock crack in .32

That’s what I thought at first but it was actually loose?? I put some jb weld in there to help it not be so loose

    Stock crack in .32

So I just built this CVA squirrel .32 with my son and it turned out to be a real shooter. Nothing fancy but it works great. We did some shooting the past two days, only loaded it with 20 grains of powder so no serious loads. But after cleaning it I noticed that there is a crack in the stock...

    CVA squirrel build

So got it sighted in and got the little guy shooting! He really likes it, he doesn’t quite understand yet but that’s okay he asked to shoot it a couple times so that was fun!

    Cap and ball revolver question

Very true! Iv been wanting a pistol and to be honest going that route I might as well just get a single shot cap or flint pistol. I love a revolver but I think for what I’m looking for I’m better off with just a single front stuffer

    Cap and ball revolver question

So I’m considering a small cap and ball pistol to have while on a woods walk or to possibly take a back up shot on a squirrel for fun. Never owning one of these my question is this, let’s say I only take one or possibly two shots with the revolver, wanting to not just waste caps or lead firing...

    Proper powder loads

You are right about the ppl shooting bare ball and it makes sense shooting more stout loads, the more pressure around the ball the more stable it will be going down the barrel but like you said I’ll save my powder and put a patch around the ball

WITHDRAWN TC Seneca.36 for flintlock pistol

Okay so I’m not exactly sure if I want to do this bc I do like my TC Seneca but I don’t shoot it enough. I don’t have a flintlock pistol and would like one, .62 smoothbore would be nice but others above .45 caliber is definitely needed so .50 and up. Like I said I’m not sure if I want to trade...

    Proper powder loads

Hahaha well when I typed this this morning I figured it would drum up some good answers and it sure has! As for the general muzzleloader topic I do apologize about not reading it there. I do move around on the forum but not as much as some. It’s always fun to talk about things and to be honest...

    Proper powder loads

So let’s begin the debate hahah with the charges we are putting into our muzzleloaders how much of that powder is being wasted by not being burned? I know this has to do with barrel length but it always makes me laugh when a buddy of mine in muzzleloader season loads his TC Hawkens up with 120...

    Two guns well possibly three!

How do you like the pedersoli pistol in .54 I’m looking at possibly picking one of those up

    TC Renegade 54 Flintlock

Those little things will keep you consistent! Make them part of your routine, I use 2f in the pan bc that’s usually what’s in my horn.. I poke a couple flakes in the flash hole and I’m good to go. Black powder will ignite pretty easy so it more or less comes down to what you like and the routine...
