    Ballistol

Maybe it's me but I've never really noticed a bad smell. I use 10:1 water:Balistol for patch lubricant and barrel cleaner. My wife doesn't go to the range so she doesn't care. Bill

I've got an antique Belgian percussion 20 gauge side by side. I've tried all the thin cards and patches. I've finally decided that a thick lubricated wad over the powder charge and the same wad over the shoot is best for me. It doesn't seem to effect the pattern and is less likely to become...

    Pedersoli locks bad?

Question about shooting round ball in smooth bore

On the rare occasion that I shot round ball from my old 20 gauge Belgian side by side, I shoot a .600 cal round ball with a pillow ticking patch. It's a snug fit. I can hit a man sized(deer) target at 50 yards. I've never tried any farther. Bill
