    Anybody ever get a Daguerreotype/tintype/Ambrotype of themselves?

    Drilled out the touch hole and filed down the plug on the bess, also cleaned up the lock and stained both the bess and sea service waiting on flints in the mail as well as a .69 ball mold then i can go out and do some shooting!

    had to make a channel for breech plug could have probably gone better but it does pass air and smoke now so I guess success

    also bullets are probably not soldered in place, cap and ball rounds were purposely oversized to seal the chamber if its the real McCoy guy might have loaded it and then heard rebs surrendered and went home!

    I appreciate the write up very interesting! I actually used a friends 3d printer not too long ago to make a "template" for the paper cartridges for both my 61 Springfield and my Brown Bess I have yet to finish (soon!). once they are done I think I will give a crack at making my own paper rounds...
