    Eastwood Cap 'n Ball Movie

Shane is the second best western ever, The Searchers is first. Pale Rider is a rip off of Shane but no where near the quality or entertainment value. Blue Duck was a pretty worthy outlaw in Lonsome Dove but not a maine charicter.

    Percussion to flintlock

Can I convert my son’s percussion Thompson Seneca in .36 cal to a flint lock? I would like two locks for it, the percussion it has right now and a flintlock so if we can not find caps for it I can switch to flintlock. Do I have to change the breach plug? I want to be able to just unbolt one...

    Difference in names

I went over to gunbroker and flashed between the pictures really fast until I realized the Renegade has no brass and no patch box. Computers are a wonderful thing. Saved me from haveing to go to the library and look thru their books and then finding out they cant help me so I have to go to...

    Difference in names

I use to drive my college teachers nuts. I wanted them to tell me the answer and they wanted me to go find the answer. I finally learner that college is not about learning stuff. Its about learning how to find the answer.

    first char cloth

Just how long could a mountain man rely on a char cloth. You would think that after at least 2 months they would be gone and you would have to go back to useing a stick. Now that is an art, learning how to build afire by rubbing sticks.

    Difference in names

I am going to try and answer my own question here. My guess is that the Renegade is a no freels no brass hardwear rifle. My guess is the Hawken has a patch box and brass hardwear. My guess is the Seneca is like the Hawkin such as it has a patch box and brass hardwear but it is a little...

    Difference in names

In the Thompson Center line up there are many names for them. I do not see a difference in them. What is the difference between a Hawken, Renegade, Seneca, ect?

    My sons Senica barrel

I am guessing its a Senica. I thought it was a Hawkens but it dont say Hawkins and when I posted a picture of it on here someone said it was a Senica not a Hawkens. I am guessing the snail is the snail looking area that the nipple is screwed into. This little screw is on the left side of the...

    Going shooting

I have monday off and I am going to hit the range and hope it is empty. I am taking my son's Thompson Seneca in .36 cal. I have a bunch of balls that are .345 to .350 in diameter. Do those seem like the correct size. The patches I have are Thompson prelubricated cotton patches which are...

    My sons Senica barrel

I got her all cleaned out. The little screw I am talking about is on the left side of the barrel where the nipple and snail area is on the right side of the barrel. Its fine though. I realize that I should not remove the breach plug that the nipple is attached to. I just filled up my bathtub...

    My sons Senica barrel

I just looked it up, its called a breach plug. Is it common or is it ok the take it off everytime I want to clean my rifle? Will it line up correctly when I put it back together? Do I put some anti-sease when I put it back together?

    Bob Hoyt, miracle worker

I hate it when others bother me when I am working. I am sure he is thankful for customers though. He could get a answering machine and return calls every two hours. Not that it is any of my business I just remember when I had to answer the phone at work and I could get nothing done. You dont...

    My sons Senica barrel

I just took the barrel off of my sons TC Senica in .36 cal. I am going to clean it and check it out really well. I took the barrel off the stock and it is setting here in front of me. On the cap end of the barel is a seprate pice that is not part of the main barrel. It has one little screw in...
