    Flintlock pistol holster

I'm no renaissance expert either but my son and his wife host dungeons and dragons game nights for their friends so this is a natural extension of that. I think they went to one fair just as spectators and had such a good time they decided to get more into it. This was a box I made for them for...

    Flintlock pistol holster

Thanks. I had my knees done a couple years ago so I was stuck in the house for a couple months. I bought a cheap leather tool set and a small piece of leather with the idea that I'd make most of my accoutrements. Some other stuff I've made since then. The knife, handle and sheath was a gift...

    Flintlock pistol holster

I got it from Amazon. I made a set of arm bracers for my son. He and his wife are going to a Renaissance fair for their anniversary. I also made his wife a belt, belt pouch and a crown.

    Flintlock pistol holster

The pistol is a pedersoli .45 Kentucky flintlock. Its the exact match to my pedersoli Kentucky long rifle. Both shoot straight and true.

Couldn't find a nice holster for a flintlock so I made one!

    What is this 50cal worth?

Great idea. Great gun to learn on and you don't have to worry about banging it up. Go have some fun with it and if you feel like restoring back to near new condition, there's plenty of people here who can talk you through it.

Whats your favorite muzzleloader you own?

Amazon, they're actually made for this exact purpose. I make up powder charges before I go to the range. I never bring bulk powder with me. I can measure and compare each powder charge for consistency.

Whats your favorite muzzleloader you own?

Jeez, I like em all for a variety of reasons. I have an original 1863 Bridesberg barn find I returned to working order so that my be my favorite antique. I have both a Kentucky flinter rifle and pistol by Pedersoli, tons of fun to shoot and very dependable. And I also have an unmentionable...

Coin Shop find, need help identifying

Inverness is local to Loch Ness . The pistol appears to be the Scottish rams head pistol probably originally flintlock and converted to percussion later. (Very nice pistol, very nice conversion.) If you've ever heard of " the shot hear round the world" which was the opening shot of Lexington and...

    FOR SALE Astrolabe Casting Kit

You never think about the people who built these things the first time around. I guess once they were found to be useful there would be a need to accurately replicate the instrument. There were some brilliant people who went before us.

Daniel Boone TV show historical accuracy

I used to LOVE watching Davie Crocket and Daniel Boon when I was a kid. It was entertaining but not really historically accurate. I thought the whole idea of living in the wilderness, wearing buck skins and living by my witts and off the land was nothing short of super hero stuff. The "rifle" or...
