    GPR Fish Belly?

I am a novice and have a LH model. I see the "fish belly" brought up in discussions. I don't have any issues with the stock. What's the big deal with it?

    Well I will tell ya...

I am so blessed to have a 800 yard range right out of my reloading/machine room in my shop. If I want to shoot a muzzle loader it's fine, if I want to shoot the 50 BMG it's fine, if I want to sight in a suppressed 6.5x55 at night that's fine too. It's lighted at 100 and 300 yards. Sure glad I...

    Stock Finish Other Than "Brown"?

While not a percussion rifle this is what I believe ia clear finish over maple. It’s a little darker due to aging and isn’t quite blond but more honey color None the less I really dislike the color and wish it was a deep brown. Thinking about refinishing it.

    Woodsrunner Question?

Yes looking at the website there is a $60 credit for using customer supplied wood. So is a plain maple blank valued at $60? There is a $320 upcharge for the extra fancy maple. There is a $400 charge for the CNC engraving. Crazy stuff.

    FOR SALE or trade

So is it a flintlock or percussion? Any history of the rifle, it's condition? Just the barrel I suppose, how many dollars are you asking?

    CVA mountain rifle

I bought a small collection of BP rifles and this was one of them. An old USA marked .45 cal. I think it’s in good shape though it’s missing a barrel wedge. Don’t know what the stock material is probably beech or maple? It has what looks like Birds Eye in it but also is blotchy. I don’t know if...

    Sausages

Those look really great! Some nice seasonings too add distinctive flavors. Myself, wive and daughters have made a truck load over the years For all the people that are mentioning cheese. Here is a 100 lbs of venison being made with cheese and jalapeño.

    Nice Piece Of Wood

That's a nicely figured stock. Looks like Circassian walnut which is English. Turkish, french can all look similar. I have a some Ruger m77's that were stocked from the factory with high grade Circassian and are beautiful. As someone who saws and mills my own wood the position of the slab when...

Help - Looking for Flintlock tang screw help or a gunsmith

I have removed hundreds of broken screws, bolts , studs, shafts, pins etc. in my life. Without more evasive measures I agree with planefixer above that heating the trigger guard around the screw and applying Kroil, penetrate of you choice or even wax will help wick it into the threads. You can...

    Kibler Colonial first one

True that, it's a kit that you assemble. Kinda like putting together Ikea cabinets and calling yourself a cabinet maker.

    Burned!

That idea is flawed. If the person is here to flip items for profit and he/she is misrepresenting the item they should be dealt with by the administration not by another forum member ignoring the person. Wow really? Everyone does not read every post that's made here. There are new members...

    Burned!

Yes it seems like the high volume sellers are in tight with the forum. They are here for the sole purpose of selling or should I say reselling for profit. Heck some even have a lay away plan! I recently made reference to this in the thread that the guy was apparently selling something that...

My savage hawken shoots rb's into 1/2" groups all day long with monotony and twice on Sundays.😜

Right hand or left hand shooter? 🤔

It bothers me some as I keep both eyes open and see this crossing over my face when the rifle fires.

Right hand or left hand shooter? 🤔

I am in the same situation as you. You will only be the best you can be by shooting with your dominate eye. Yes there are some that won’t agree but I am talking about an overwhelming majority of people that will improve their shooting. If you are left eye dominant shoot left handed. I was...

    Woodsrunner CNC Incised Carving

Don't have a dog in the fight but one thing for certain is that Kibler is cashing in on the carving option at $400 extra. That's nearly 50% of what a kit runs for about 5 minutes of machine time.Brilliant marketing on his part.

Do you name the guns that you build?

I only build modern rifles, I do put the caliber/cartridge designation on them. Most are all in mc millan, Accuracy International or manners stocks in different colors. I might call one the blue 22-250, digital 260 or the green 6.5x55 🤪 Years ago I did engrave "Thumper" on my 30-378 WBY...

    Jim Kibler's Woodsrunner Production Rate

This has nothing to do with straight CNC machines but I come from a automotive manufacturing background. It's mind boggling but we made a truck every 60-63 seconds or about 1100 units a day. This was 2 different models/sizes with many configurations of each running back to back to back to back.

    Kit v. Factory

Another trend I am seeing more and more Kiblers being assembled for resale in the classifieds. Supposedly these kits require very little work other than finishing the wood and metal. People getting 800-$1000 for assembly seems to be the going rate over the price of the kit. Interesting to say...
