    Weather

I would say about 60 degrees is my cut off point now. I have an 800 yard range out of my shop. In South Texas it was 34 degrees this morning and I chose to go to church instead of hunting. Thinking it was about 74 there. The cold air has finally reached us.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Good job. Another way to thread with a tap in a lathe is to use a good tap handle with a center in the back of it. Use the tailstock quill with a live center in it to center and keep the tap straight. Turn the tap handle and not the chuck while applying a little pressure from the tailstock...

    Damaged firearms

Sounds as if they had an employee problem. It doesn't take any more time being careful than reckless. I was a firearm inventory specialist and worked sales when needed. Seems the older employees cared more about there job where as the younger did not. I paid them to work there actually, drove...

    What kind of sight

Agree with the others, some sort of sight either a peep or a ladder type went there. I just drilled and tapped one of mine for the same reason. PL

    Patch material for rifle ball

Well to get the material to surround the ball they have to be bigger. How they work? I’ll have to try them out. 😬

    Patch material for rifle ball

I'll get right on it Bob. I always like to tinker. Those were 1.25" diameter. As long as I can keep the ball covered it should be good. Headed to the shop!

    Patch material for rifle ball

I cut these with a laser, so no tedious hand work. Can make any shape and size easily if needed. Maybe I'll make some Texas shaped ones.😃

SOLD Lefty Northwest Trade Smoothbore 20g/.62 cal

That's a dandy! The chip on the tang could have been due to a to tight of the tang and chipped by recoil.

    Patch material for rifle ball

I made some patches for the first time today. Found some pillow ticking at hobby lobby yesterday and had to buy and try it. Brand new at this stuff. Will find out tomorrow if it holds up.

    Tamales in the Southwest

Bill, I am puzzled at what you did pressing tortillas that was a fail? I made my daughter a press out of mesquite last week and it’s pretty simple to use. It worked perfectly and she is happy with it.

Thanks for the review. I recently acquired a left handed GPR that I am going to try to hunt with next week. Questions on Kibler Rifles

I am in the same boat. Not only does the cast off affect eye alignment it drives some of the recoil into your cheek. I am looking into if it's feasible to the change the cast to neutral or possibly "on" with a little work on the stock? Not all that familiar with the Kibler models. Does the...
