    Barrels will set back slightly under recoil. The more imprecise the inlet the more likely to move.     CUT AT THE MUZZLE, ROUND OR SQUARE

    Muzzle cut patches end up sort of square anyway. Even so, I prefer round patches and use a fender washer as a template and cut them with scissors. All tests I have seen show little or no difference between the two however.
