    Yet another Woodsrunner!

Like my grandmother said “Hurts too much to cuss” 😠

    round ball mold expansion

I would wonder if temperature made any appreciable difference at all.

    Patch fabric

Don’t overlook the Wal Mart sewing center. Not all stores have one, however.

    Notch in hammer cup

I have always thought that the notch was to deflect the cap blast.

Controversial question. Short rodding a patched ball.

Sounds like a squib load, sort of a loud PFFFT!!!

    Nose cap refitting?

I would leave it alone. No harm no foul.
  7. Pete G

    what brand barrel?

    Rice. 😁

    SMR #16

Keep at least one. If you don’t you will regret it.

    Jaeger rifle sling

Put some cold blue on the buckle and it will darken considerably. Rub it back some and it will blend in with the rifle nicely.

    .375 prb's out of a .40?

It works just fine with deep grooves and a double patch.

Anyone else's gun like a very tight load ?

Also makes an excellent cleaning solution. 😁

    Kibler screwed me

It was a poor choice of words in a misguided attempt at a joke.

    Barrel ribs and half stocks

I would guess around 1840 or so for the most part, but that’s just a WAG.

    Tang screw"s" & torque

If you have the tools, then why not? Change the torque and test. Get back with your report.

Starting a pecatonica early lancaster - help?! :)

Get a good book (or two) and do some reading and studying before you do anything else.

    Rifle identification

I think that is a Dixie Gun Works rifle. Probably a kit, judging by the beaver tails and the added patch box.

    Woodsrunner Recoil?

With such a long snout we would call that a “Piney Woods Rooter” 😁
  18. Pete G

    You call that a rifle.

You’re going to need a thicker patch. 😁
  19. Pete G

    Well I will tell ya...

Tell them that the smoke keeps the bugs away. 💨

DIY protective carrier for ram or cleaning rods etc.

You were lucky; I got an empty box with a barrel sized hole in the end. At least they got the address right 😡
