    The plant manager where I worked years ago couldn’t tell the difference between copper and aluminum by looking at it. I thought he was joking when he asked if I was sure about it. He wasn’t smiling thought so I figure he really didn’t know.

    I was told once that it tempered the wood. In my mind I was going yeah right. The guy told me to use a cotton cord soaked in kerosene. Never did it as I don’t care for the look.

    I finally got a chance to put a longer flint in and smoothed the spring and the frizzen where they contact. Correct me if I’m wrong but now I’m thinking I might need to heat and bend the **** so that the flint will hit farther down the frizzen. First pic is where the flint makes first contact...
