    Don't Carve That Stock!

For me, the purpose of carving is for the user to look at it while waiting for his quarry. Maybe what he would do next time etc. I did have a friend that was a pretty serious 3D carver which I wish I had learned from before he passed.

    Don't Carve That Stock!

It is my gun. If inherited a medium job done by me would mean more than a beautiful job done by others. If doing something for someone else I am very conservative.

    Kibler Fowler

Sounds like a test that someone should or has done.

    Kibler Fowler

A light weight Fowler with a disclaimer about not shooting round balls in 28 gauge probably come in at about 5 pounds or less, would it sell?

    Fusil

So where is the next point to argue? Is that not in your job description? …French is another bizarre development. We can read it and not have a clue how to pronounce anything. The only good thing I found was sausage, cheese and croissants, and those are the words I remember.

Looks like the ones in Scotland.

    Fusil

Anyone who can only think of one way to spell a word obviously lacks imagination. -Mark Twain We speak English, a language that is rather difficult to take too seriously. The entire language has absolutely no real practical spelling rules. Its lack of consistency however allows for some...

Ain’t nobody up in here be interested in no grammer!

    Fusil

As it should be. I will gladly try to remember the correct term.

    Fusil

The lexicon changes. In South Texas I seem to remember a shotgun was called fusil as well as escopeta. Until now I thought escopeta was slang derived from the word broom, escoba. I was wrong. Uncle Evil was correct according to Google.

All those threats of blocking you…they might mot see your posts. I have been told that English Walnut is far easier to work than our black Walnut by an Englishman.

    dry patch lube

If one can get good groups, use whatever charge you want, if you do it regularly it can encourage flinching. I use 100 grains of FF in my .54. 70 grains of 3F starts to get irritating in my .50

Poll: What do you use your muzzleloader for?

I use it to accompany me when visiting relatives at their deer camp. I let them shoot it at night and we film it. I mainly perforate paper, vainly attempting to group the perforations together in the location of my choosing. On the rare occasion I achieve this, I brag profusely to everyone. I...

    New sights for Kibler SMR

I replaced the front sight on my Woodsrunner for that reason. I used one of the tall front silver sights from Track of the Wolf. I’ve not yet finished the sight in.

Got any dumb statements by idiots?? (Muzzleloading shooting related)

My patched Round ball gun will shoot one inch groups all day long.

    Cataract Surgury and Shooting

I am guessing they set your vision for distance and you get specific readers for rifle and different for pistol? With a long enough barrel correction might not be needed for rifle. I would think+ 1.00 for pistol. Just a guess.
