    I’ll get exact length but around 12 inches on barrel length. And yes the lock works outstanding. Each notch full and half have extremely audible and tactile cocking positions.

    Here is a cool one I rescued. Came to me with a bulged barrel and a cut stock. Refit the gun into what it is now.     It was a quick pick and that’s all I could get yesterday, it was a half stock, percussion, had a hinged patch box with pewter nose cap. Double set triggers. I will do my best to get better pics on Monday. Stock had Ben broken and repaired several times. It was also a brass mounted gun.

    Scratched out a Tansel family style horn

    That is the retention method the strap will be run through the two holes and tied off. The staple will be insofurther up near the neck of the horn as the front securing method. I have seen som others done with the two holes and thought I would give it a try, no other reason for doing it really...
