    Hunter Harassment

One winter I was hunting my own land, sat down my back to a big cherry tree, overlooking one on my wood roads. A woman, I'd never seen before, on cross country skis approaches up the road with her dog. She was oblivious to me in my pumpkin suit just off the wood road, her dog wasn't. He was a...

Conical bullets best suited for Thompson Center shallow grooves 1/48" barrels.

Do we know even what caliber OP is using? Hornady GPH bullets were designed for TC hawkins/renegades 1-48" barrels. They shoot good, but large cal are NLA. Wonderous wads help. My bullet shooters I use GM 1-28" twist barrels so I won't go futher, except my 58. The 58 is a Lyman 1-48" that...

    Black Squirrels

Do black squirrels matter? In the crock pot? It don't matter if they are in my berries/orchard/garden either...........tree rats all of them with ground rats too. I'm not prejudicious , I shoot them all. If I don't eat them (tree rats), the foxes will get supper free without working for it.

    Black Squirrels

I saw them years ago near Connecticut River Valley close to river. (1980-90s?) Never seen them in the hills on either side of the river.

    History of hunting from trees

I still enjoy stalking deer much more rewarding than waiting in a "tree fort". You learn so much more about the deer and land. That said, when it is like waking on corn chips I'll post up or use a stand.

    Wet aging game meat

As far as aging, if you are not going to freeze , I find an acidic marinade works good. Soy mixed with Worstershire (sp?) sauce. Will keep a long time in frig and tenderizes the meat.

    Wet aging game meat

mASSholes tend to be from "Basstun" area and not in the hilltowns and western rural areas. Same stuff happens everywhere, when the dirty birds soil their own nests, they don't clean up just move to make another chicken coop.

Wonders! That's what a felt wad will do!

I've only used the pre-lubed wads, Oxy and EMS. I wonder what they use for lubes?

Wonders! That's what a felt wad will do!

I've been using lubed wonder wads in all my rifles for quite a while now. For conicals. A 58 1-48 Lyman and 54 Renegade1-28 (GM barrel) using Hornady GP bullets 525 gr and 425 gr respectively (glad I have a stash of those as 58 + 54 are NLA), and a 50 Renegade 1-28 (GM barrel) using 385gr...

    Investarms .50 Caliber Barrel

Lyman sold some 15/16" barrels by Investarms that were 62 cal/20 ga smoothbore. Not sure if Mr Hoyt would go that far but a 56/28 ga he might?

    .50 vs .54 accuracy

Yea, the 54 is going to be lighter and if you like to stalk game rather than stand hunt you'll appreciate that.
