First 200 yard 6 shot group

My gun is better than me but I limit myself to ~100yds in good light on a deer. Low light maybe 30-50 yds. In snow I've lower the rifle, to see sights, then raised onto the deer for a shot at low light. Never missed one.

    Help with stuck bullet

Those TOTW bullet pullers work great, they stay centered You do need to put pressure down on the rod to get the screw started, or you'll strip the lead. Think of it like getting a wood screw started into a wood board. But the "screw" is now 30" long. And you need the screw to hit the center...

    Help with stuck bullet

You want to use a puller with a brass collar that is caliber specific. It will screw into the center of the ball/bullet. Make sure you use a metal rod or one that has the tip well pinned. TOTW sells them

    Davis Deer slayer triggers

I've put them in my TCs, double set trigger Renegades and Hawkens. Had to pare a but of wood with a small sharp wood chisel. I never bothered adjusting them, they are perfect out of the box.

How often do you run into other muzzle loader hunters?

One May spring day, in a state forest, I was working my way up a small mountain stream collecting: native brook trout, morels, and wild leeks/ramps. An old timer came down the drainage carrying a smoothbore flintlock. He was dressed in traditional buckskin and was carrying a haversack. We...

    Don't forget the TP!!!

    Dont forget your powder.

Better then, before you loaded up a "dry shot". Is that correct term for no powder under a shot charge? I might be mistaken as maybe a 32-36 and head shots?

A lot of bear around this year.

I never saw that one during the season but did track him a few times. He left a pile of poop that would overfill a 5-gal bucket.

    Ready for bear!

Not sure if they started production again but Buffalo Bullets makes good conicals. I use the 385gr in a 50 1-28 GM barrel. Years back someone had cases of 720 for $40 on ebay. Shipping was more than the bullets......thats a lot of lead Their website is not working? BUFFALO BULLET COMPANY...

A lot of bear around this year.

You seem to be a little unstable. This is a hunting forum and most here find your posts offensive. Maybe you should find a nice animal website to hang out at, Sierra Club, USHS, OR PETA are a few suggestions.

    Hunter killed by elk

Learn how to hunt with a bow, you'll be a MUCH better hunter. And try doing it stalking, not from a tree fort.

A lot of bear around this year.

I have 4-5 that have been bothering the property since spring. Couldn't get in my garbage as it's a 55-gal drum with re-sealable top, they rolled it around a bit though. Thhey raided my berries this summer then started in on the orchard. One is a youngster, and the biggest maybe 500 lbs. I...

Not sure if they have started production back up but the 385 gr Buffalo Bullet lead conical shoots well.
