Do you display your flintlock or other guns in your home

I do display my muzzleloaders that I have built. It's my wife's doings. She likes showing them to her lady friends. Seriously...! The other modern guns are scattered around the house. They are in places where they can't be seen. But readily available .

A fowler for round ball accuracy

One time years ago I won a woods walk with my smoothie. All I had to do was hit the twenty targets put out. Only to be disqualified later for using it. Seemed the local rifle guys were embarrassed by a smoothie doing so well..! I love my smoothbores..

    Kibler Fowler vs Trade Gun

I hunt with a trade gun. My barrel is 30 inches long and I shoot shot and round ball out of it. For me in the swamps I hunt in. It is a much handier gun than a long barreled fowler. JMPO

    Canoe Gun?

I have used one for deer. It's 62 cal / 20 gauge. My shots at deer are never over 50 - 60 yards. I use 65 grains of 3 f . Yeah I know your supposed to use 2 f. Well the deer and coyotes have never complained. But I'm patient and wait for the broadside shot. Most drop on the spot. Had a couple go...

    Blanket gun

There's much conjecture on the names. Canoe or blanket guns, but their is no historical reference about either term. We just know the natives used them. Plus I love mine and I call it my swamp gun.
