    That’s the basic process. Work a snug fitting patch up n down the bore with the soap and water. Flush with the hot water and throughly dry with clean patches. Then oil, done!

    RIG is a thin, or light grease type preservative. I use it to wipe down the lock inside n out, but prefer a couple drops of oil on the tumbler/ sear.

    I just wipe it out with a patch on the rod. Then commence with your shooting. I have not had any problems. My bores all clean up excellent afterwards and are shiny like mirrors.     Soap and water to clean, A little gun oil for the lock works- occasionally, and RIG for oiling, wiping down and preserving the bore, barrel exterior and other metal parts. Works great, and not expensive.

    Touch hole liner

    If the barrel has a straight tang, and is straight sided you can inlet the barrel slightly rearward to mine the breech face back enough to accommodate the touch hole liner ( so it lines up center of the pan) Or, you can do this to the breech face.
