This is an opinion: SOLANCO was being polite. JamesT has good advice. Three grand is too much money for what I was able to discern from the pictures TOW provided. If it was me, I'd pass - a guy can do better for that amount of money.- ppb

Thanks for your input. I would be doing that anyways - my worry is how to prevent the grit from getting between the bore guide and the barrel causing the tool to be bound-up in the bore.- ppb

You might consider talking to a supplier such as Pecatonica River Long Rifle Supply about having them carve a stock pattern for you.
