    2024 Turkey Hunting

    Took my first turkey with a flintlock this fall and hope to do the same this spring. Shooting 62 Fowler by gobblerknob using 80grns of FF over powder card, half of an olive oil soaked wad and 1 3/4 oz #6 shot. Barrel is jug choked.

    I’m left handed and have both left and right hand locked guns and don’t notice any difference when shooting them as far as the lock goes. The things that bother me is having the cheek piece on the wrong side or the patch box touching my face

    I was having the same issue and went with a thicker steel front sight instead of brass and had a peep put on and that fixed the issue

    I got a tag for Iowa spring turkey for muzzleloader this yr. Shot six diff. Loads and this was the best pattern at 30yds. Sky chief load with 90grs of Swiss FF and 1 7/8 oz of # 6 shot.
