    RevWar 3lb Cannon Progress

Yes that is correct. This particular "model" of three pounder was never cast in iron. Unfortunately the cost of bronze is a little prohibitive, that and another chain of events brought me to this one in iron. I am working ways of perhaps getting this one coated in bronze. Some folks paint...

I added D ring by bolting them through the decking and use ratchet straps around the axle to tie it down. I also have an additional D ring behind the trail that i run another strap through the pintle hole.

    My New Bronze 3 Pounder!

Most 18thC pieces did not have sights per say. Gunners would use levels to mark the "gun metal line" on the top/center of the base ring and on the muzzle swell and use those to "aim" Sometimes these notches would be cut directly into the gun.

Yessir, not exactly sure the role they will play, most likely wont participate in many reenactments, but thinking of incorporating them into our static artillery demos.

    RevWar 3lb Cannon Progress

Not particularly, there are plenty of spots near enough to me in New England on private owned land that I have the distances I would need to live fire. That said it's primary function is going to be used in reenacting.
