    Looking for my first flintlock...Pedersoli?

@smoothshooter, @Grenadier1758 gave a good breakdown of theory and practice. Personally I use hot water because cold water causes my arthritis to flare up.

    Ramrod help

I only use the rod from the thimbles when I'm hunting, otherwise I use a range rod. A range rod can take more stress than the wooden rod. I'll note that I tried carrying a range rod on a hunting trip once...it's still out there in the woods somewhere. BTW, lovely curl in that stock!

    # 10 Percussion caps for BP Pistol?

I tried #11 on my revolvers but they just fall off. Never had that issue with #10's and 1075's.

Info needed on Pedersoli 12 ga

I bought a brand new one this summer, compared it to my buddy's which is 10-12 years old (brand old as he calls it). They're pretty identical save for the usage wear on his. Good shotguns, you'll be happy with it especially if it's a good price!

    Looking for my first flintlock...Pedersoli?

    1F in Muskets?

I used o use 1.5 Fg in my T/C Hawken. It was all I could find at the time and I used it in equal measure to my normal load of 50gr 2F. Worked fine. Only thing I noticed was a bit more fouling at the breech while cleaning. Had to use a scraper if I shot more than 5 times.

    WANTED Muzzleloader magazine back issues

Hello, Thank you for the reply. I inherited a collection that began mid 1988 and ended in 2020. The issues are great so I started my own subscription as of 2021, but I'd enjoy reading the issues prior to those I own. I already checked their website and unfortunately as you noted there isn't...
