Welcome from Williamson County, Texas! I lived in Denver for around 7 years. I sure do miss the Rocky Mountains and weather!

No. I didn't double ball luckily. I was able to get those balls out by just by putting some powder behind ball through the touch hole and that worked pretty well.

Yeah, it sucks because I really liked the figure of that wood. Hopefully on Monday I’ll call Traditions and see if I can get a replacement of some kind.

I don't know why, but more cracks and the cracks that already formed are getting deeper. For example, a new crack just showed up where the tang is and it's growing. Any help is appreciated. I don't know the issue with the wood, but it seems like it's expanding and cracking due to some sort of...

Well, the gun performed great. I dry balled it a couple times but other than that it worked fine. When I got home and started cleaning I noticed that the stock was all out of wack. I noticed some cracking and bulging from the wood. I was devestated. I don’t know what could have caused this...

Hey y’all. I have completed the build and honestly, I think it turned out really good! For my finish, I used 4 coats of Tru-oil and I knocked down the shine to what I wanted. Overall this project has been extremely fun and rewarding. I’ll be shooting it this Saturday and I’ll give you all an...

    New Shooter Question on Cleaning

Water and little soap is able to break up fouling very easily. All the experienced shooters I know use water, but I imagine that this "Shooter's Lube" works fine as well. You might just have to experiment with what your gun likes.

I used Birchwood Casey Walnut and Birchwood Casey Rusty Walnut. I applied 4 coats of walnut, letting the coats dry completely before applying another. I then added 2 coats of Rusty Walnut and let the stock dry. It’s a little darker and a little redder IRL than in the picture.

    SOLD Blevins Club Butt Fowler

I'm about as broke as they come. Will a $20 dollar Chic-fil-a gift card and a silver dollar work? 😂

Wow, Ive made a lot of progress since my last post! Sorry for not recording my progress as much as I did, I was having too much fun with the build! Anyway, I browned the barrel and stained the stock. I’m planning on aging the buttplate and patchbox and I’ve already aged the trigger guard and...
