    TRS Dutch Wheelock.

I never knew Navy Arms made a wheellock. I would imagine they're out of production. How rare are they? I could probably make a wheellock provided I had the parts and tooling needed.

    TRS Dutch Wheelock.

Dang that sucks! Thanks for the warning. Maybe I'll fulfill by wheellock ambitions one of these days if I happen to stumble across one.

    TRS Dutch Wheelock.

I'm debating whether to get this Dutch wheellock by The Rifle Shop. I have basic wood and metalworking skills, and I'm not sure what to expect from a TRS kit. I've heard that they are around 80-85% complete, and that you might have to do some lock work to get the locks up and running. Should I...

    2F In A Flintlock Smoothbore

I use 2F and 3F to prime on all my flinters. The delay is negligible, so go ahead and use that 2F as priming powder!

What is your favorite era of muzzleloading?

I love it all! I'm most interested in pre-flintlock ignition systems (matchlock, wheellock, snaphaunce, etc). Out of those, matchlocks are probably my favorite due to their historical significance and simple mechanism.

    Naming your guns?

I like to call my H&A underhammer "Clover" because when I shoot, it's always makin' clovers!

    Summer Hog

Very cool story! Nice shot too. As a fellow Central Texas resident, the drought is really getting brutal. Down at the family farm in Dale, Tx, the tank is empty and all that's left are a couple puddles here and there.

Cool little sanding block with straight, angled & curved profiles

I have smaller versions of these that I use on plastic models. Never thought using them on a build though!

From the lock, it looks to be an Investarms make. The Pedersoli locks don't have engraving like the Investarms ones do.

    Hello from Kentucky, USA.

Your videos helped me get into black powder. Picked up a Traditions Hawken kit a couple months ago, and now I'm hooked. I have 3 muzzleloaders, a casting pot and now I'm saving up for a Kibler kit. Thanks for the informative and entertaining videos Mark!

Show me your newest library additions!

I bought the 5 volumes of the Journal of Historical Armsmaking Technology off the NMLRA's website today, very excited to read! Here's about 20 issues of the Muzzleblasts Magazine dating from the mid 60's to the 80's I recently graciously gifted to me by one of the members at the muzzleloading...

    Show your Muzzleloading gems.

This might not be the rarest gun in the world, but it's my gem for sure! This is my Hopkins and Allen .44 cal "The Offhand". This gun is the most accurate gun I've ever seen, and it outshoots my modern guns regularly!
