    January Postal Match Target

Some pretty good shooting here. Just a FYI.... paste your target to a cardboard or plywood backing. Helps make better holes without so much tearing.

    Draw filing

Some great videos on YouTube that can help you. First Jim Kibler himself has a couple that will help you immensely. 'I love muzzleloading' also has a video that can help you and give you some good tips. Mike Bellevue has a ton of videos that are filled with tons of information on muzzleloading...

    Blowing down the barrel

Just adding a little fuel to the fire.....explain how a rifle that has just been fired can kill someone who blows down the barrel? Seems to me, it is empty now...No powder left as it has just been burned off in the firing of the rifle. If there is an ember left shouldn't it be from burned up...

Food for thought on smaller calibers for hunting big game.

I have taken elk here in WY with a .45,,50 and a 54. Huge difference between the .45 and the 54. With a .45, a double lung at 40 yards, the elk took off running. No reaction that he had been hit. Tracked for over 400 yards,,, spotted him on the next hillside. Trying to go uphill but was unable...

    Movie Prop or Real ….?

My opinion: It was used by an Indian, who would get off one shot and then turn it around and use it as a bladed war club.

Pietta/Navy arms 12g double barrel load suggestions

Make sure you pattern the load. Especially the square load. I have done extensive testing the square load and found it to have major holes in the pattern. My 20 gauge loves 75 grains of FFg and 1 1/2 oz of shot. It shoots great with no holes in the pattern to at least 35 yards. I use a slightly...

    Priming The Pan

You got it right.Sad to see someone who obviously knows nothing to speak of about flintlocks and putting out a "how to" video. Gives a newcomer bad advise which in the long run can be dangerous. Too many things to list that are wrong with this video. At least he knows that it is not supposed to...

    HELP Shotgun Choices??

Have owned two of the Pedersoli 12 gauge shotguns ,, sold them. Now am the proud owner of a Pedersoli 20 gauge SxS. Handles like a dream. Shoots great even tho the barrels are IC/Cylinder bore. I have never liked a "square load" as I found it to have too many holes in the pattern. It was lousy...

The KIbler kits here look fantastic. Hope they shoot as good or better than they look. Got mine ordered a while back. Supposed to be here in the next week or so. Have a question for the gentlemen here. I have put together a few guns in the past from different manufacturers. Always with a walnut...
