    PA Muzzleloading Hunters

For PA early muzzleloader it is for the inline shooting people. But you can take a flintlock or percussion if you want. I haven’t made my mind up yet what I’m gonna take. 54 cal Lyman trade rifle or 58 cal trade gun. Both are flintlock.

    Flintlock ****

I don’t have any pics with smoke or fire. Next time I go practice I’ll have to try and get some. But I do have some pics of my flintlocks. 54 cal Lyman trade rifle, 58 cal trade gun and 58 cal trade pistol.

    Squirrel Season 2022

Acorn’s are dropping. Some leaves are starting to fall too. I was surprised there was not much sign at this spring other than a deer trail. A different spring (almost dried up) I checked out a week ago had a lot of deer tracks. Very few squirrels there.

    Trade gun shot pattern

I tried the corn muffin mix again today and got good results. I think when I tried it in the spring I was aiming to low and getting the upper part of the pattern. The corn muffin mix is easier to mix with the shot than the corn starch.

    Squirrel Season 2022

Went to Shade mountain in PA to scout for deer/bear sign. And do some squirrel hunting. Found some bear poop and saw 2 deer but no squirrels. No fresh sign at this spring. Went to another place to do the same. Saw 1 deer and heard one snorting. Seen a few squirrels but only got a shot at one of...

    7 hours!

Britsmoothy, do you have rabbits like this in your area? 1st time I seen one like this in my area. It’s no cottontail rabbit or hare. Somebody’s pet fancy rabbit got loose. It came over to me and let me pet it.

    Camo or Traditional for hunting

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. After Christmas flintlock season I wear what I have to keep warm. My camo. I need to get a capote. Squirrel and early muzzleloader season, in October I wear my period stuff most of the time. But i put fl. orange vest on and a nit hat on my wide brimmed hat.
