    Taylor Uberti better than Uberti?

Well for what it's worth. A Cimarron employee just called me. didn't what to go throught he hassle of using email, (that is a red flag to me but each his own) anyway he stated they do contract with both Uberti and Pietta. To make firearms just for them. So there is that take it for what it's...

    Taylor Uberti better than Uberti?

Just another FYI. I sent emails to both Taylor&Co. and Cimarron asking them the same thing I ask EMF. I'll post here what I get back unless this thread gets closed before I heard back from them.

    Taylor Uberti better than Uberti?

I asked EMF why I should pay more for a gun from them. The above is their email response to me. I will gladly do the same to Taylor or Cimarron if you would like but I'm pretty sure their answer is going to be pretty much the same as EMF's was.

    Taylor Uberti better than Uberti?

just an fyi: EMF - Info <[email protected]> Tue, Nov 1, 2022, 9:43 AM to me Hi Rex, All of the Pietta made guns come out of the factory with the same/similar quality, with the exception of 4-click Colt-style vs. 3-clickTransfer Bar. Ours is the 4-click Colt...

First Cap and Ball Revolver Recommendations

In the end you need to pick what gun you like best. But I will give you my opinion. I would handle a Remington before I purchase one. I didn't and I regret it. I hate my Pietta 1858 NMA Remington. I know others like theirs. I don't think you can go wrong with a 1851 Navy I have a Pietta and an...

    Nipples

Yes that's what I do but I do not use a ultrasonic cleaner. I soak the nipples in Ballistol/water solution then scrub them with a weapon brush, while they are soaking I clean the cylinder. But that wasn't what my post was about. But thanks for your input.

    Nipples

Okay "fixed" maybe was a little presumptuous, What I should have said is I got the nipple back into its corresponding hole on the cylinder. I will continue to remove the nipples on the Colts as I always have. I don’t know what I’ll do with the Remington. I don’t really like shooting it so I...

    Nipples

First thank you for your insight. I know the nipples for the Pietta and Uberti are different sizes, I ordered them. Not only that they come in little baggies that tell which gun to use them in. And I NEVER work on more than one gun at a time. The issue with the uncooperative nipple has been...

    Nipples

Yes thanks, I'm well aware. I have SlixShots for my Pietta and for my Uberti pistols and had no issues until I tried to re-install them on the Pietta 1858 New Army Remington. One would no go, I even tried to install the original nipple and still no go. I had to buy a 6x0.75 tap and run it...

Ah but I have stainless steel nipples. Hard to play with.

    Nipples

I normally remove the nipples after shooting and clean them out of the cylinder. All the nipples have been replaced with SlixShot in all my pistols. Well last time out when I went to re-install the nipples one wouldn't start on my Pietta 1858 New Army. All the Colt replicas were fine. I bought a...

    Number 11 cap shortage?

You have to put it in as Hunter-Precision.com to get it to come up. But the phone numbers are from Virginia and Chicago and the location is a house. Also BBB gives it a F rating. the total shipped price is $15 cheaper than what I paid from KYGUNCO. So I wouldn't chance it but let us know if you do.
