    Kibler Fowler

Width verses depth. A shot pattern is 3 dimensional. A pattern on paper is 1 dimensional. For dynamic shooting the difference matters. The shot Flys as a cylinder if you can imagine. 16 gauge is the most efficient

    Kibler .32 Caliber SMR….

I would agree that the weight is negligible between the calibers. I'd bet you can find bigger variances in weight in two rifles of the same caliber with density and type of wood. You're gonna love hunting with this rifle regardless which caliber you choose.

    Kibler .32 Caliber SMR….

I really don't think you will find any fault in one for squirrel hunting. I personally feel the caliber choice makes little difference for what your looking to do. You will be successful with any of them.

You are correct. You'd definitely have to be high to wanna carry a cap n ball pistol to defend your life.

    Kibler Fowler

I'm not a smooth bore fan but I just might not be able.to resist purchasing one of Jim Kiblers fowlers. 16 bore stocked in walnut.

    Kibler Fowler

Research it. A 16 gauge shoots a "square load" . If the gun is sized to the bore it's the best option for a shotgun. Once again in my humble opinion. I used to grouse hunt with my setter in PA using early American double guns. My 1912 L.C. Smith 16 bore is my go to gun.

    Kibler's .32 caliber SMR.

That's great. Go ahead with the .32 bore. It will be fine no doubt. I promote the .40 caliber but that being said I have two squirrel rifles n they are both .32 haha. One of em I have killed squirrels with but still don't have it dialed in with a load I'm confident with yet. Missed several...

    Kibler's .32 caliber SMR.

Interesting idea. Never heard of that but to me it's too much work and possibly more wear on the mold. What is your experience with it??

Nice rifle. Put some meat in the freezer
  15. Salty Cracker

    Kibler's .32 caliber SMR.

I've killed squirrels with every caliber but something about a .32 makes me wonder. Just my experience but always seems to be some variable of some sort. Finicky with a load or wind or something. A.40 caliber rifle has put a higher percentage of hits in my bag then any other. Never ruined meat...

    what sight for Kibler SMR?

Not meaning to derail the original thread about sights but I have never seen a modern rifle with a busted toe. Most likely because they don't get used like their predecessors. I have seen many broken originals including this original 1820s Virginia flintlock that obviously had a toe plate and...

Twenty five years. It's been a fun hobby that has progressed and matured over the years.

    45 SMR

Nice looking rifle. Is your wife a deer hunter like you or is it for target shooting? Also I'm curious since you have assembled 6 of these kits did you find the all to be consistent in the fitting of parts? I'm thinking yes but want to hear what you have to say about it.

    Failure :’(

Yeah I hear folks sayin a longer rod will get caught on brush and such. They are usually the same folks saying a long barrel rifle ain't handy in thick cover and you need a short barreled gun. Most of those folks never been in the woods with their rifle I believe. Anyway I don't care for a...
