Pure Soft Lead for Hand Casting

Dont worry about buying small pieces of lead, just get a hunk of lead and melt it into a small ingot or bar. Heck you can pour hot led into a small garden shovel or make a disposable bar mold out of wood if you had to! Most my ingots are cast in an old cast iron corn bread mold and an old lyman...

    A rifle sleeve?

No reason why you cant make a sleave out of water proofed canvas and line it with wool. its an easy task to water proof the canvas or bed sheet with what I said above, then once its dry cut your pattern on the canvas (or bed sheet) and the wool and sew them together as one. 1861 US Cavalry Carbine ?

Alot of folk say there is no such thing......but there actually was, but it was a confederate cut-down or raised musket. Much like the CS Richmond musketoon. See the confederates would pick up any and all arms left on the battlefields and ship them to arsenals. These arsenals would re-condition...

    DIRTY LEAD

I use a can of spray paint to paint any hard lead ingots I have. It keeps me from accidently stacking them with the soft lead or putting them into a soft lead pot. I run 3 pots, 1 for melting scrap, 1 for soft lead and 1 for hard lead. I use soft lead for revolvers and minie balls. Hard lead is...
