    Whether using a precut or a cut in place patch, I soak the patch with my mouth then pull the moisture back out off the patch buy sucking on it before placing the patch and ball over the muzzle and starting the ball spru up.

    Question on pinned barrel

    Track of the Wolf sells a flush kit that clamps onto the barrel after removing the flintlock. An O-ring seals the device over the flash hole enabling a patched ram rod to siphon soap water in and out of a bucket. This prevents messing up the stock. It can also be used for a percussion rig.

    I have found that using a appropriate sized brass brush will do a very good job at cleaning fouling residue. I only shoot Goex black powder. 2F in my fifty and 3F in my 45 and 36. after brushing and inverting the gun to tap it on a rubber mat (never the ground) after 3-5 shots I will dry patch...
