    1st time shooting a flintlock

If you shoot alot. Get a lead furnace online, a mold, ladel thermometer, and make your own. Once the lead gets to 850, or does not stick to the ladel, it's ready. I cast about 100 last night in about 1 hour.. I get my lead from scrap yards for a dollar a pound, cut it up,with Tin snips, melt...

Shooting a flintlock for the first time ever today

Well how was it? When I fired my kibler colonial flintlock rifle last Sunday for the first time, I had a **** eating grin on my face. SHEEEECH, KABOOM. It was to cool. Had 1 flash in the pan, due to probably user error. Out of about 20 shots. The priming powder was getting low in my primer...

    Flinglock cleaning

    Kibler colonial kit

To me it was pretty easy, had to file the brass and do very little wood work. On the stock, it's extra fancy maple, done the way they did on the video. At 50 yards standing and kneeling

I took it to the range. Sights darn close. Trigger was giving me some issues. It looks afu, compared to the one on my Kentucky pistol. Should look the same. Ordered one from Dixie gun works.

  18. buckleymarka56

    Ok folks

Here's a few general pistol questions. I bought a 45 cal percussion pistol from one of the guys In my rendezvou group. It had a bead sight in front, I had a dovetail cut in it and a blade put in. Should I keep filing the blade down until I hit paper? 2. The barrel says Dikar Spain. And a sn...
