    Different caps "now",,,

I carry a pick with me and picked the nipples before recapping them today, and still it misfired. I am in the process of venting the factory nipples now. Heading out to get it done. if it is not raining tomorrow, I will go hunting. If I have no misfires, I will know if venting these factory...

Not having any issues with regular CCI's in any of my revolvers or rifles and 3f Goex, I'm convinced my issue with my new side by side (with misfires using these caps) is that I am using 2f Goex.

All my #11 CCI's are the regular ones is the issue I believe. I had two misfires today on dove 20 yards from me. I'm gonna call the pawn shop that carries CCI #11 and musket caps and ask him if he has magnums or if he is gonna order any anytime soon.

You have a good point to consider. I will take a musket cap and check the hammer recess. I also need to check how straight the hammer lines up left/right as well. I have another option. I can call the local pawn shop which carry CCI musket caps and #11, and ask him if he has any #11 magnums. I...

    Skychief Smoothbore Load Recipe........

They are OxYoke lubed fiber cushion wads, my bad. I'm gonna re soak them in the olive oil because I didn't leave them very long in the oil. I will let them soak a entire 24 hours, turn them over, and soak them another 24 hours. After, I weigh them first. I will weigh one out the original bag...

What have you tried in your shotgun, and which one do you use now in your shotgun? I have no issues with any of my rifles or pistols. I just noticed I've had quite a few misfires last week while dove hunting with my new side by side using regular CCI.

Do you think I can find a musket nipple for my perdersoli side by side shotgun? do not musket caps throw a larger flame? I'm just wondering because I already have 700 musket caps and a reliable local source of buying more.

I've not had any issues using rugular CCI's until I started shooting my new side by side shotgun. I have had quite a few misfires dove hunting last week and now after reading your post realize what I got to do, order some magnums! I wouldn't want to be deer hunting and this crap happen! Thanks...

    Buckshot

I bought me some .715 balls and .015 lubed patches for my improved cylinder barrel of my side by side shotgun. It is amazingly accurate at 25 yards. I tried 5 of them yesterday. I just have to get my elevation correct with the guns 2 bead sighting system. If I had 6 with me yesterday I would had...

    Dutch Schultz' Accuracy Method

That's ok sir. I appreciate your hard work and sharing your knowledge. I will be purchasing your book and get one of my younger family members to get it printed off for me. I like reading regular paper because I can lie in my bed and read it better, thanks again!

    Buckshot

I shot a doe at 50 paces last season running broadside (full speed) with the extra-full jug choked gun with this load: 120 gns 2f Goex, 2 over-powder-cards, 1 cushion wad, 15-00 swaged buckshot with equal volume BPI buffer, 1 over-shot-card. I aimed 1 foot in front of her and had around 5 or 6...

    Buckshot

My experience too as of today. I tried the cast buck without success. I already have a LEE .319 mould. BPI is out of all the good stuff. So I will get me a rock tumbler and make my own. I got access to all the wheel weights a man could ever shoot.

    Buckshot

I will purchase me a decent tumbler, smelt down some wheel weights, cast me some .319, tumble them, and be good to go with my chrome lined bores I believe? I have a jar of buffer, and will even try some jiffy muffin mix.
