    Those bullets are not the dreaded sabot type. They are a pure lead conical, like the Thompson Center maxi hunters or similar.     Congrats on the new rig. I would suggest getting a box of .490 balls and a few different thickness of cotton patches, .010, 015 and maybe 018. Get dry patches, home made lube, there's a million different recipes. I would also try a box of the Hornady PA conicals. Those are pretty good bullets...

    A while back I was looking for a wooden stock for a CVA Mountain Stalker rifle. Someone had a stock, lock and trigger assembly listed on Ebay for $ 350.00. Crazy! I made two offers but they wouldn't budge on the price. I later found one for $ 120.00.

    Which ever you can get. Normally, the # 11 caps would be suitable. If you get # 10's, you will need to change or modify the nipple that's on there now.
