    Nice tiger stripe. Great figure.

When your stock has passed on and the meat is packaged and in the freezer, that hide with the hair intact would make a beautiful gun case, and leggings, long mittens, you get the idea. Just MOO. (my own opinion)

Everyone but me and two others know about this!!

There's a lot of distilled water around here, even have a distiller for converting tap water. I use a CPAP machine every night and another hobby is steam engines. Watched some videos on You-Tube about raising dings and dents from stocks. Now chorizo mentions steaming a barrel out, hell yeah...

Everyone but me and two others know about this!!

I bought one a couple of years back, never thought of using it to clean out barrels. You don't have to spend $150 to get one that works. This one that I picked up is a hand held model, does clothes, drapes etc. The reason I bought it was, it gets dents out of stocks really well, and it fits in...

    Lyman Great Plains

Rather than taking the wood down, I'm thinking of filling in behind the metal to raise it to flush with the wood. That and getting rid of the perch belly on the bottom of the butt stock.

    Lyman Great Plains

Just checked mine. At first I thought it was stamped but with a magnifier it shows the dot matrix. It's marked on the barrel 2016. I'm thinking real late in 2016 because the inspection card says, Inspected By Jesus A. 1/9/2017, along with his employee number. The only thing I really don't like...

SOLD Beautiful Custom Fullstock Hawken .50 Flintlock

The lock looks like a TC or an Investarms. I like the color in a full stock. Purdy.

    CVA Mtn Rifle questions.

Not right this minute. Came across a CVA MR. in 50cal and I'm doing some digging to see if it's a 1" or a 15/16".

    32 flintlock

Do it, they're fun. I had five in percussion and converted two of them to flint. Still have five.

    CVA Mtn Rifle questions.

Right now it's just sitting in the closet. I keep looking for a MR stock for it.

    CVA Mtn Rifle questions.

Wow. I never knew CVA could put out such beautiful rifle. Was it a kit that you built?

    CVA Mtn Rifle questions.

Oops, it tried to double tap me and my message.

    CVA Mtn Rifle questions.

My first one was a CVA MR kit in 50. That was in the 70s and its long gone😩. Now the only thing I have is a CVA MR barrel, in the white, flint lock 54. Doesn't say where it was made, that area's blank.

WANTED .54 T\C renegade flint barrel.

I thought they did offer it in their Fox Ridge Outfitters Shop. I have a couple of the catalogs at the cabin, just not here.

    Why .40 cal?

I have Hawken in 40cal. 1" across the flats, 31" long. Wwwwell it's not an original Hawken. It's a Thompson Center Hawken, Cleland Match Rifle. Hey, with a name like TC Tommy, what'd you expect. It's a real shooter when I do my part.

Powder charge. How much powder do you use.

I learned from a friend of mines uncle who used to build muzzleloaders back in the 70's. Sadly he is no longer with us. But the one thing he couldn't emphasize more was, if you get a large flame out of your barrel, that's all waisted powder. You want to get the powder to burn completely in the...

    Gunsmithing screwdrivers

I too have a set and love em! Another hobby I have is Small live steam engines, some over a hundred years old and these bits come in handy for those old tiny screws. What I'm trying to say is, they're not just for fire arms.

Civil War Black Wilderness Trapper Stereoview

His neck scarf seems a little blurred from a breeze and a long exposure. It looks like he's wearing a plaid shirt with a button down collar. Maybe he's a uppity trend setting trapper.

12G new Englander and steel shot-The TC owners manual rec'd load

I wouldn't shoot steel shot out of ANY shotgun with a full choke. Have any of you with the TC barrel and choke tubes, experienced any loading problems pushing in the wad or cards with the tubes in place? Reason I ask is a friend couldn't pack them in until he removed the choke. Then when he...
