CLOSED Wanted - Ruger Old Army

You didn't run down and get it? Do they still have it, if so what is their name and number?

CLOSED Wanted - Ruger Old Army

Hey Dude, I have a stainless one but I'm not parting with it. I'm looking for a blued one also. If you can't find one here, might I suggest GunBroker .com. There's a couple dozen on there, but some of the listings say that an FFL is Required, some don't but those that do state the reason is...

IFG (Davide Pedersoli) New Rocky Mountain Hawken Hunter?

I see the specs at Natchez Shooters, but their out of stock. 54cal, percussion lock, 34-5/8" barrel length, 1 in 65" twist. Over all length, 51-3/16", maple stock, 9.91 lbs. Does anyone have any other possibly inside info, besides price,$1350. It looks very nice but it's kind of a small...

    Powder Pellets?

I have about seventeen side lock muzzleloaders, caps and flints, and one of those inline muzzleloaders, (not breech loader). Actually it's a barrel for TC Encore that I don't use. Tried it several times in the backyard. Then I hung it up. Back when I ordered it from TC Custom Shop, Fox Ridge...

What would this rifle be called?

Well now didn't a lot of old timers back in the day add some of this stuff to personalize their guns at rendezvous. Heck they used to trade that stuff. I can see having a row of of tack heads sticking up on both sides of the forearm you could feel and always have the same hand placement and grip.

.58 vs .62 Round Ball (Smoothbore)

Heck I was kicking around the idea of a smooth bore 45, it'd be like a 410 to play with.

    Who is using smoothbores?

I just added some to my last post.

    Who is using smoothbores?

Sorry I'm so late. Was away helping a brother. Start off with about 55gr 3f or 60gr 2f and about 60-65 #6 shot. That's where I started and only had to tune a little on the lead amount. Remember, it's a short barrel and the pattern opens up so test with some paper or cardboard. Buck Conner says...

    Who is using smoothbores?

Sorry it took so long to reply. Green Mountain stopped making drop in barrels for TC about five years ago. I have about ten in my collection, most are 32" and I'm holding on to them for now. They all came from Ebay and Gun Brokers some years back. I think you can buy GM octagon barrels in...

    Who is using smoothbores?

    Also have a 26" TC barrel that's a 56SB. I believe that equals a 28ga. That's six inches shorter.

    Who is using smoothbores?

TC Hawken with a 32" GM 62cal SB. Deer and small game.

My Powder Drum Blew Out. Is My Barrel Done For?

That's a full stock, cutting off the breach and fitting a new plug means you have to shorten the stock, relocate the pins etc. It doesn't look salvageable to me. If you want to keep using that stock, (and it does look nice), I would have a new barrel made and fitted to it. Then you know for...

    A steal of a Dragoon

I don't think it's tilted up. Take a straight edge, even a piece of paper, and line it up with the top of the cylinder and have it extend the length of the barrel. It looks fine to me. Right about now I'd be cleaning it from an all day shooting session.

    T/C 20 gauge Hawkens

I have to get in on this one. Having a dozen or so TC Hawken's, that one you bought is just what Eterry see's. TC didn't make a trade rifle. This was a Hawken that one of the previous owners embellished with bling to add to the look and personalize it for identification. I like what they did...

SOLD .50 CVA Mountain Rifle w/Douglas Barrel

All of this information now has me wanting ask a question. I have a CVA Mountain Rifle barrel, 54cal flintlock, that doesn't say MADE IN USA, and it doesn't say MADE IN SPAIN. It doesn't say anything about where it was made, it does have a low number on it. See the photos and please respond if...

FOR SALE Thompson center 32 caliber cherokee

Let me check to see what that one is. When you asked that question it reminded me that I have five 32's. A Cherokee, a GM 32 for my Renegade, two DGW Squirrel's, one cap and one flint with a L&R lock, and a Traditions Deer Hunter in 32 cal that I switched over from cap to flint. At this time I'm...

FOR SALE Thompson center 32 caliber cherokee

I'm lucky enough to have four 32's and even luckier that one's a Cherokee. Nice fast twist turns it into tack driver. That one might go in the box with me when I'm done here. You won't be sorry if you get it.

    Virgin Thompson Center .54 Hawken

That's a real beauty. The last time I saw a new one for sale was in a 2012 Natchez Catalog. It only came in 50 cal. and was priced at $699.99. I still have the catalog.
