Who's Going to the Gunmaker's Fair?

Was there for about 6 hours today. Wife got 10 horns for scrimshaw(still have several hundred from last year, she needed particular ones). Grabbed some cleaning patches, holster for my pistol, and a few other things. Hit Dixons on the way out for some patches and balls

Welcome from Montgomery Count, PA. Definitely hit the gunmakers fair in Kempton(hopefully it won't be so hot this year). As mentioned, check out Jacobsburg Historical Society. Very awesome collection of Henry guns and the house is like stepping back in time.

    My blunderbuss options

I bought one, did I need it no, did I want it, hell yeah! Haven't fired it yet. Had it at a local well known shop, they couldn't get the barrel off to see if any makers marks under the barrel. He said he would shoot it(that it was safe to shoot) which made my wife happy to hear.

For those of us without oxy-acy torch or forge

If you only need one for small things ever now and then you might be able to use a mini-ductor. Costs more than making a small one but takes up less room, more portable but you need electricity. Will get a bolt red hot in a few seconds.

Black Powder Banned at my Gun Club!

Happened at a range near Dayton, Ohio. Now they have a sign saying no tracers. From what I heard it caught tires on fire at the far end of the range. I know BP can't be used at the indoor ranges near me(probably normal anywhere). I need to check I to a few local rod and gun clubs to see...
