Cleaning the breech where the flashhole comes in

You could put a small piece of tubing on the nipple and stick the other end in a bucket of hot water or small bottle of cleaning solvent running a patch back and forth in the barrel will suck the cleaner into the barrel and flush out the bottom of the barrel and nipple passage way

    Cleaning .36 Seneca

T/C breech plugs are recessed, basically have a hole in them they are not flat, at least the percussion ones, the T/C cleaning jags are designed to fit down into that recess, if you look at say a 54 cal jag the end of it is much smaller, as stated I use a bucket of soapy water, that's how I was...

    Proof Hawken made a flint

It shows that there were full stock flintlock Hawken style rifles made, by a brother of the Hawken brothers from Missouri, so people that say a flintlock Hawken rifle wasn't made and that its not PC, this proves they are wrong, if you want to argue over which Hawken made it that's up to you, for...

How did American forces reload in battle?

If you reread the comment, I Think he is saying that hunting calibers, not musket calibers where to small, average hunting rifle would have been around 40 cal or smaller
