    T/C Seneca .36 caliber

I have only used .350 round balls in my .36 Seneca at this point. I plan to give conicals a try in the near future.

    T/C Seneca .36 caliber

Thank you for your post and best wishes to you, my friend. You stated that you are 80; I am sure you have many fond memories of time in the woods. I am 82 and while I realize my days in the woods chasing squirrels and deer are probably numbered, I am sooo grateful that I can still hunt. Watching...

    T/C Seneca .36 caliber

I recently purchased a used Seneca .36 cal for squirrel hunting in PA. The rifle is in excellent condition and shoots quite accurately. I have shot it a few times and 30 grains of FFF seems work best. I received some patches with the gun, but I am not sure of the thickness. It loads hard. What...

Which round ball for T/C Seneca .36

Yes, that is what I thought. I was surprised to find the box of .375 on the same shelf as the .350. Thanks for your response.

Which round ball for T/C Seneca .36

I just picked up a T/C Seneca in .36 caliber today. What a beautiful, balanced rifle! Can't wait to the to the range. I bought a box of Hornady .350 round balls. I also noticed a box of Hornady .375 roundballs on the shelf. Can they be used in the Seneca as well?

    T/C Seneca 36 caliber

Thanks so much for a excellent post. That was a great story of getting your gun repaired. Isn't it a joy when a company goes beyond what was asked of them? Sadly, that kind of customer service is rapidly disappearing.

    T/C Seneca 36 caliber

Yup, they are not easy to find. Fortunately, I stumbled onto .36 Seneca that is in almost mint condition and I bought it before the owner changed his mind. It didn't cost a kidney but almost an arm and a leg. lol.

    T/C Seneca 36 caliber

Thanks so much for your response. You mentioned "50 ft" as the distance you shoot which is about 16 yards. What would you say is the ultimate range of the gun?

    T/C Seneca 36 caliber

I have been thinking of buying a 36 caliber percussion rifle. Any thoughts and opinions about the T/C Seneca as a squirrel gun? Are patches and balls hard to come by?

    Two guns well possibly three!

I only have two ML, but am thinking seriously of adding a .36 cal for squirrel.

    Learning date of manufacture

Is there a site or source to contact to determine via serial numbers when a T/C flintlock was manufactured? I tried contacting T/C but didn't get a response.

    The effect of barrel length

Hi Chorizo, Wow! I am envious. Beautiful carbines! Thanks for the helpful information. The load I use is 75grains of FF with patch and ball and 80 grains of FF with Maxi Hunter (275g). I hunt with a T/C Renegade and have taken shots out to 100 yards. Will the carbine reach out that far? Thanks...

    The effect of barrel length

I have a T/C Pa Hunter Carbine with a 22 inch barrel. I have not hunted with this gun but at the range it is a sweet shooting, accurate rifle. My question is how the 22 inch barrel effects performance in a hunting situation particularly the range.

    Newbie from central PA

Thanks to all for a warm welcome to the Board. A couple people mentioned being in Shunk which isn't too far from our cabin which is located close to the village of Hillsgrove. To me there is nothing finer than to explore those Endless Mountains with my trusty flintlock in hand.

I just found this Board yesterday and have enjoying exploring this site. Looks like a valuable and helpful site. I do most of my hunting in Sullivan County WMU 3B. I enjoy my two flintlocks: a Penna Hunter carbine and a TC Renegade both in 50 caliber
