    Traditional Knapping Hammers?

It works well. I keep a piece of tine in my bag for that purpose (pressure flaking).

T/C 12g New Englander max safe loads

That's the main thing I like about them. It makes a big difference.

Anyone have experience with pendersoli brownbess

That's a Pedersoli Bess in my avatar. Made in 2016. I've had zero problems with the lock, but as noted above, a fowler it is not. It would be fine for just about any non-flying critter, but it's balanced all wrong for swinging on birds.

    Lock/ Pin Question?

Those are the ends of the sear screw and sear spring screw. If they aren't interfering with the hammer, just leave 'em be (unless it's just driving you nuts, in which case you could take them out, file a bit off the ends and reinsert them).

    Triple 7 ignition problems

Try some RWS or Schuetzen caps and see if that helps. It might be as simple as that, so I'd try it before messing with the nipple or flash channel in any way.

Pistols exchanged between Mohawk and British leaders in 1812

They are in the style of English military pistols of the Georgian era, but whether they were made in England and shipped over to (or brought over by) said officer or made in the style by a colonial smith is impossible to say without further background.

    Holsters

There's a name I haven't thought of in ages. I used to see their ads all the time in Shotgun News back in the '80s and '90s. 👍

New addition to my smoothie arsenal

I second this. On the bottom of the barrel, probably near the breech end, you should find a few numbers (including the date the barrel was manufactured) and the word UDAIPUR stamped in. Udaipur is the city in northwestern India where pretty much all these guns are made.

New shotgun - what can you tell me about it's performance from this photo ?

As long as the hammer isn't being blown back to half-**** after the shot, you are good. Blowing back to half-**** sounds good as it removes a step in reloading the gun (😄) but it would indicate a burned out nipple (or one with too big a hole to start with) letting too much gas out the back.

Pan flash - from INSIDE the barrel

    Super cool. Thank you. 👍

    Frizzen questions

Ricky Ricardo? "Lucy, call Fred and tell him to check the furnace...it's frizzen in here." 😄

No more unmentionables for Pietta 1860

Unmentionable = modern gun/ammo. "Improved performance" cylinder lets one make their cap 'n ball revolver into an unmentionable. 🤐😄

Why you gotta do us like that? Well...I know what I'm gonna be humming for the next week at least....😄

    was there a "transitional Rifle"

Very much like the way we treat decades. We tend to talk about the '50s, the '80s, the '90s, etc. as though they were all completely distinct and self contained; however, as we all know, each decade actually blends in with the one before and the one after. For example, based upon the decades in...

1/4-28 thread #11 Nipple for Pedersoli Hawken

Pedersolis are a mix of metric and sae. My Bess uses M5x.8 for both the tang bolt and ramrod jag/worm threading, while my Harper's Ferry percussion pistol's ramrod is threaded 10-32 and the nipple is 1/4-28. :dunno:

Shooting with the Red River Renegades in Texas...

What's the guy shooting at 5:24? Is that a Bess carbine or a full-size that's been cut down?

Pedersoli Charleville 1777 (Revolutionnaire version) kit - review to be.

There are an awful lot of Pedersoli flintlock muskets out there across the world, and I'm sure if stock breakage were even a semi-regular issue we'd have discussed the subject ad nauseum here and elsewhere. Pedersoli stocks do break now and again (like Gus's), as did originals, but I don't see...

    Non muzzleloading firearms websites.

I figured they either put it up here in error or part of their agreement was to put it on both sites. :dunno: It doesn't bother me, but I did think it was a bit odd.
