    What Dave said, it is not the most challenging build, nor the cheapest. But you will have an authentic piece with good architecture. A good model for future builds. Or a man could cobble up something looking like a plane of the apes gun from the seventies if he doesn't care about that. But...

    Just weighed my .62 cal Tulle de Chasse

    Using an exact duplicate of an original barrel,with a correct stock of European walnut. I can get them to weigh 7-7.25 lbs.
