We have a massive amount of obsidian here in Nevada. It is too “glass like“ for flints however. There are a massive amount of arrowheads and blades made of it to be found however. We do have chert and what we call “jasper” out here. I guess I better get busy and learn how to make flints.

    Powder and mice?

I think there may be something in the plastic making process that mice seem to like. We know they sure enjoy the insulation on electrical wiring in automobiles.🤷

Ya know what? I’m really sorry you are having such a disappointing experience with this thing. I’ve been shooting’ for a long time and would say…..save your Pennie’s, buy a quality firearm. Study on ‘em. Learn as much as you can. When you own a REAL flintlock (or whatever) you will have a...

I can tell by the photos that this is 11/16 . Believe me I have a micro eye. The wood is for sure cherry from the Philippines. The Japanese hate to cut down cherry trees. I know where cherry wood comes from. NO ONE is going to have a Miroku barrel rebored. Please.

SOLD Completed Kibler Colonial, .50 cal, extra fancy maple

I have to hand it to you for stepping up with your “simple lines”. You did an amazing job at something that can be intimidating for new builders. You have put together a very handsome rifle and your asking price is reasonable.

Ona side note. It seems a lot of folks are turning things made by others. I wish they would just say if they didn’t make it themselves. I just got caught in this myself.
