    not going to be a difference in accuracy with a good fitting patch and ball. I find the round bottom to clean a little easier.

    I normally shoot my under hammer and 32 cal crocket rifle as well as cap and ball revolvers. it would be fun to shoot steel for the first time as my range is paper targets only.

    Hazmat fees are CRAZY!

    that seems high but the vender sets the fee. the reason for the fee is shipping hazmat is more involved and demanding than regular shipments. there are more regulations in place to try and keep the public safe.

    What have you done to further the muzzleloading hobby?

    gave a pound of powder and a tin of caps to someone so they could dig their Hawken out of the closet and go shoot it. that gun I am told hasn't been out in over a decade. sometimes it is about pulling people back in.

    Soldering barrel lugs and sight, success!

    I suck at soldering. glad you had a good go at it. I use metal banding that is meant to secure items to pallets for a spring to hold parts for soldering. same idea but is more flexible and free.
