    Yes sir it was an original apparently there were a few there that were all but forgotten about and he managed to get a few of them .

    I guy I met bought an original North west trade gun from a ware house in Winnipeg Manitoba a couple years ago and it was a percussion and the barrel was full of grease still .also it was 24 gauge 58 calibre that looked like it could be easily changed to flint .

    So far with my smoothbores I couldn’t hit a bull in the behind with a scoop shovel .But on the other hand I got patterning shot pretty far so I’ll take it.

    Well I used a little squirt bottle today shooting and give er a squirt down the barrel every second shoot and only used 4 for patches to clean and dry and one with wd 40.Oh the bottle had windshield washer fluid and a couple drops of dawn soap.

    Thanks Nathan I’m thinking of maybe trying one or two sizes of shot bigger than 7 1/2 because as you can see my patterns are way to dense.Also my load has to be strong enough to air rate a tin can not dint it .Im in hopes of doing the same as you and grabbing a gun a go hunt and not be worried...

    I was shooting 50 grains of 2f and 70 grains of shot but am just playing withe shot a bit so I don’t break a tooth .Im thinking some wherein between 60 and 70 grains is where I well end up .

    Thanks but I’m not jug choking my guns and we don’t have turkeys to hunt just grouse and bush bunnies and little red squirrels.Im trying to use less shot and still get a good enough pattern sos not to break a tooth if get where I’m going with this .
