    New 1860 Army

Got my new Pietta 1860 Army from Midway today. Gun is excellent in terms of fit, finish and function, can’t wait to shoot it! Joins my 1847 Walker and 1858 Remington (both Ubertis), so this is my first Pietta. Only issue is that I can’t get the barrel wedge out. It’s pretty firm in there and...

First time at the range with the Walker

Enjoyed my first session with my Uberti Walker. Shot 50gr Pyrodex, wonder wad and .457 balls for the first twelve shots, then the same powder and wad but with a 260gr .8 inch dragoon conical. The recoil on the ball was negligible, but very noticeable with the big conical. Both were roughly...

New Slixshot Nipples in my Walker

Got some Slixshot nipples in the mail today for my new Walker. Tried out a cap on one and boy, do they go off! Noticed they really expand versus the results using the stock nipples!

    New (to me) Walker

Just received this Uberti 1847 Walker in the mail today! Forum member kh54 completely renovated a 1995 Uberti and graciously sold it to me. I think he did an outstanding job and it is indicative of the class of folks I’ve found on this forum. Extremely helpful throughout the buying process, a...
