Middlesex Village Trading - Any good?

I have one other Pedersoli flintlock (Harpers Ferry pistol) and it's build like the proverbial brick *********. The only problem I've had with it is purely my fault (using pyrodex out of ignorance). Just wish the BB's weren't $1,500. I'd trade some gold for one without giving it much thought.

Middlesex Village Trading - Any good?

My intent is to get a reliable shooter. Pedersoli is starting to look like a better and better option.

Middlesex Village Trading - Any good?

Not really in the position to do either prior to purchase.

Never having assembled a kit, that's new territory for me.

I'm not sure about Canadian Laws, but perhaps it is the way it is so as they're not "Selling arms on the Internet". Since you have to reach other to them, it's not a web transaction. Just a theory.

Any quality difference between them and say...pedersoli? I'm really lookin at a Brown Bess.

CLOSED USED Reproduction Model 1816 Springfield/Harper's Ferry Musket

This is one of those things the admins warn us about

Middlesex Village Trading - Any good?

I think my question has been sufficiently answered. Now the next question is what makes a Pedersoli Brown Bess worth double the price of one from Loyalist Arms?

Middlesex Village Trading - Any good?

I think I'll following someone else's advice and check out Loyalist Arms. They definitely have a handful of big bore toys that I'd love to have

Middlesex Village Trading - Any good?

Loyalist Arms appears to be Canadian. Would I have any trouble ordering a musket from the US?

Middlesex Village Trading - Any good?

I saw a couple of Brown Bess's on that sight that are significantly less expensive than a Pedersoli branded equivalent. Does anyone have any input as to their reliability? I'd hate to spend several hundred dollars thinking I'm getting a bargain to end up with something that isn't reliable.

Blackpowder vs Pyrodex & Flintlocks - Dumb Question

Yesterday I went on a little adventure and came home with 8lb of Scheutzen 3F. Now I want a Brown Bess to be a companion to my Harper's Ferry pistol.

    Tips for new builders?

Does anyone have any suggestions for suppliers of historical kits? Brown Bess, Charleville, etc.

    Tips for new builders?

I found a series of videos that seemed to answer all of my questions. When I'm in a position to make one, I certainly plan to.

Only thing I did was pick up 8lbs of 3F.

General Powder Storage - Plastic vs Metal containers.

I'd not saying I want 5000 acres so I can shoot a Barrett .50 in the back yard. Coule hundred yards with a nice berm at the endand just far enough away from the neighbors would be just fine.
