Carry enough balls to start the process? So by the time you ran out of balls, you had an empty lead canister to melt.

    Percussion cap availability

Thankfully the overwhelmind majority of my percussion shooting involves musket caps and the overwhelming majority of my BP shooting is flint, so I haven't had to suffer much.

New BP shooter from central Florida

Greetings from Brevard County. I regularly shoot here. Last time I brought the musket, a couple of folks wanted to get a video of me shooting it because they've never seen a flintlock before. https://myfwc.com/hunting/safety-education/shooting-ranges/triple-n-ranch/

    WANTED 69 caliber lead balls

DGW has a small furnace I believe is called a "hot pot" which works great for me because I can't support a large current load in the garage currently. Only draws about 500W. Fairly cheap.

Quality Work By RedMoon - 69 Ball Block

A knapping hammer & tool could be useful. Right now I'm using an odd shaped part of screwdriver bit on my gerber and a plastic ball starter for a hammer. It works, but it's not exactly traditional.

Quality Work By RedMoon - 69 Ball Block

Love the new ball block. Definitely looks like it's been around the block for a few decades which is just my thing. 999 silver inlay.

Zouave Rifle Rear Sight - Options?

I have the front globe sight mounted. I'll have to get some range time in and figure out where I want to go from there. I can see myself custom cutting a blank leaf, but I'd like to get a couple of good loads sorted first. Use the 100 yard sight for the first load, and the 300 yard sight cut...

    Minnie in a smoothie

I picked up some 58 cal sabots the other day. Mainly to play around with at the range. Got a few 230gr bullets I load in one of my unmentionables and some .451 RB for my next range trip.
